Freelance Commission Information
For commercial commissions (i.e. anything that the client plans to sell or distribute) please e-mail me and we can discuss.
Private commissions (i.e. the client will not be using the image for profit or distribution) are priced by an hourly rate. This rate is subject to change so please e-mail me for the most up-to-date information. To give you an idea, uncolored sketches can be anywhere from $20 to $100 USD while finished paintings can be several hundred. Exact prices depend on the details of your piece, so I can give you an accurate quote once I know what you're looking for. For more time-consuming pieces I will ask for a portion of the payment up-front or after the sketch phase, and the rest to be paid once the piece is complete. I ask all my clients to sign a contract before I will begin any work- this contract is merely a formal outline stating what I will be doing and for what price, as well as what rights the client and I have in regards to the finished piece.

Some things to keep in mind when e-mailing me:
- Please put "Commission" somewhere in the subject line of your e-mail
- The more specific you are off the bat the faster I can give you a price. Some questions I will ask are : Do you want sketchy lines, clean lines, or a painting with no lines? Will this be colored? Do you want any fancy borders or background elements? Do you have any reference images you'd like me to use? If there was a specific image of mine that caught your eye please tell me which one so I can get a feel for the style you're looking for.
- I'm pretty open in regards to subject matter; tasteful nudity, blood, etc. is probably fine. I will not, however, draw fanart for movies/TV shows/comics/etc. The laws about drawing copyrighted characters for money are a little iffy and I would rather just not deal with it. I will only draw characters that belong to you or someone you are personally acquainted with.
- I only accept payment in $USD via PayPal. I do not accept gratitude, experience, or DeviantArt points in lieu of actual money- those won't pay my student loans. ;)
- I don't bite, so if you have any questions that weren't covered here I'd be happy to answer them via e-mail. You can also send me a note on DeviantArt, however, I don't check that as often as my e-mail so it may take me a few days to respond to those.
